Anytime a student completes their work they have the opportunity to free read. Here are some books we will read this week.

Phonics

These are the phonics skills we are working on. It is a wonderful program called discover intensive phonics. Students not only learn how to decode words and read, I have the opportunity to tell them why words are read with short or long vowels.

Native American name

Today each child cane up with their own native American name. Here is the result.

Color by numbers

Today we worked on a native American color by number and sounding out words on the back.

Native American story

The students made their own story today using pictures like native Americans.

We are thankful!

Today in writing we wrote what we are thankful for.
