Literacy centers promotes independent reading, writing, math, science and learning activities. We work hard to finish out class work to earn literacy center time.

Reading

We are working on reading skills in kindergarten. We sound out worlds to read words. We have independent time for students to explore and read books of their choice when they complete their work.

New classroom library

I have sorted all my own personal books by topic to share with the kindergarten classes in an easy way for the kids to put away by number when done reading. We are working on reading!

Walk to reading

We have been working on story comprehension such as characters, setting, events, And solution. Today we made out own story and read it to the class.

Fire safey week

The kids learned all about fire safety this week. We learned life saving tools and our address and phone number so in an emergency help can find us.

Alphabet sounds

I bought some alphabet games from Walmart for the kids to practice after completing work at the end of the day. There are a lot of educational learning toys out there that are great practice and motivate students to complete work at school as well as at home.
