Today we worked on the beginning short a sound.

Fall fun

We did a color exploration predicting what would happen when you mixed red and yellow paint. We learned it made orange and then made festive fall pumpkins out of our color mixing plate.

We learned about letter r this week. We made rainbows, practicing our color words and singing color songs.

Writers

Today we worked on discover intensive phonics for writing. The program has the students write out the sounds they hear. We talked about vowels and the sounds they make.

Technology in the classroom

Technology in the classroom is very important even in kindergarten. We are able to integrate learning in the classroom by using our smart board and computer for student use. They are leaning valuable technology skills that they will use throughout school and our building the foundation for computer skills.
